I hope this finds you safe and well during this time. This has been a year of chaos. Webster’s dictionary defines chaos as “a state of utter confusion”. I think that definition is fitting of our current times in society and education. As we travel through these times, we need to prepare, plan, and organize. Your ESP Council is here to advocate for all ESP members throughout Illinois. It is our desire to support members by relaying your concerns and successes to IEA and to actively support union locals. This means we need to hear from you.
The COVID-19 epidemic changed how we educate our students overnight, and educators, both ESP and certified, have risen to the occasion to educate our students and serve our communities. ESPs have created and delivered meals, driven buses for students to use as internet hot spots, disinfected schools, joined the virtual classroom supporting students and teachers, and so much more.
Please fill out the following form to help us advocate for you. There are so many districts facing difficult times. Please share your ESP experiences. Thank you for all that you do every day for our students and members! #StrongerUnited!! #rESPect
